Use these spicy tomatoes cut up in omelettes, meat loaf, in salads, in deviled eggs or try Kat's Pasta Sauce: Saute an onion with some fresh garlic to taste in a little olive oil. Add about 1/2 cup fresh, chopped basil and 1/2 cup fresh,chopped oregano, cut in 1 package of "THOM-KAT HOT DRIED TOMATOES" with kitchen shears and add 3 or4 diced, fresh summer tomatoes . This is the sauce that started it all. The pepper's for this sauce originated in Spain and were brought to St. Augustine around the 1500's. We even have a road named "Datil Pepper Rd."
We use this sauce on everything , it has a unique "sweet hot flavor" that can be used , on eggs, in a bloody mary & as a seafood sauce. Try it with redbeans and rice. Eat it with chips right out of the bottle.
